To the family of David Red Taylor,
I first met him in the 1950,s. I was never real close to Red and knew him only a few years before moving to FL. Yet, I remembered him as a friend and leader. Fast forward to the next century. In recent years, Red found out where I lived and contacted me. He made a trip to FL and went out of his way to visit me for lunch. Since then he has called me many times, always cordially inviting me to one of his many fish fries. I drove to his home for one of his last cookouts. Everything was very nice and he was a very gracious host. It was here I met his very special friend, Donna Davidson. Red has since told me many times how much Donna has meant to him, and how thankful he was to have her help, getting him through hard times in his final years. I know he thought so much of her, and I thought a lot of him. I'll always remember his integrity and generosity and that he was a friend of many, including me. God Bless, and may he rest in peace ---
Your friend,
