David Tighe Obituary
David A. Tighe, age 85 of Marion, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 at his home. He was born in Cleveland on March 19, 1939, and on September 4, 1959, he married the love of his life, Judy (Stout).
Dave loved cars, and because of that, he worked for Cooper's Auto Supply for 30 years and Automotive Distributors for 10. He loved going to car shows, and he especially enjoyed showing off his '49 Pontiac. He was a member of Flywheels Car Club, and he was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church for his whole life. He was the type of man who took excellent care of everything he owned, including his yard.
He is survived by his wife Judy Tighe; his son Richard (Aggie) Tighe; his daughter Theresa (Brian) Jones; his grandchildren David and Amber Tighe and Frank Jones; and his siblings Phyllis, Sandy, and Tom.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward Tighe and Theresa (Askew) Tighe; his brothers Robert, Charles, and Jim Askew; and his sister Nancy Ulsh.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 10 am to 11 am at the Boyd Funeral Home. Services will take place at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dave's honor to First Presbyterian Church, 143 S. Prospect St., Marion, OH 43302, or to the Marion Area Humane Society, 2264 Richland Rd., Marion, OH 43302.
