Mr. David Westaver Toal

Mr. David (Dave) Westaver Toal, 65, of Cary NC died peacefully on January 19th, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Jack and Betty Toal of Waterloo, IL.
David was born on September 14th, 1958, in St. Louis, MO. He is survived by his loving wife, Libby Robinson Toal, and daughter, Ava Margaret Toal, both of Cary, NC; Brothers and sisters-in-law John (Cindy) Toal and James (Karla) Toal; Siblings-in-law Rick Tangeman and Tammy (Joe) Crabtree, along with an aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia Tangeman.
David was a graduate of Gibault Catholic High School in Waterloo, IL. He received his Bachelors Degree from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO where he played baseball. He worked for many years as an account executive in computer software sales. His passion for baseball continued as an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. His family was most important to him. He loved the beach and spent many happy days with them visiting the NC and FL coasts.
A funeral service will be held on 1:00 pm January 31st, 2024 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Apex NC. A committal service will be held immediately following in St. Andrew's Columbarium. Virtual attendance can accessed by the link: https://youtube.com/live/h2gI_Vj5YCE?feature=share
In addition, our family is very grateful for all the staff at Transitions Life Care in Raleigh NC during Dave's time at home on hospice care.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD) in his honor.
