I saw the news of David's death in Harvard's monthly necrology report. He was a good friend of my Harvard roommate Martin Etter (1948-1987) and so I knew David tangentially. But what a lovely soul he was--kind, caring, friendly. Everyone who knew him liked him. I'm glad to think that he was loved & had a fulfilling life.

I have been to many events at Star House. Every time I am there I marvel at the beauty of its location, the unique and sense of being held in the architectural design of the building, the grace of the surround. As I enjoy being there, I marvel at the heart of generous sharing and welcome David and Lila provide to so many gatherings of so many different collections of people.
