In Loving Memory of David A. Unmuth
June 7, 1940 – October 28, 2025
It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Unmuth, a devoted husband, cherished father and father-in-law, and beloved grandfather, who entered into eternal rest on October 28, 2025, at 85 years old.
Born in Appleton, Wisconsin, on June 7, 1940, David was a son of the late Alice M. (Adrian) and Martin M. Unmuth.
David was an avid sports fan (Go Packers!) and a member of Life Church, Reading. He found joy, strength, and comfort in His faith and relationship with Jesus Christ.
David lived a life defined by an unwavering love for his family. He entertained all with songs, stories, and laughter. His favorite times were with family, whether cheering from the sidelines, at his children's and grandchildren's events, playing volleyball with the family in the backyard, or laughing around a family table.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy M. (Hall) Unmuth; his daughters and sons-in-laws, Tracie J. and Craig Nanna of Reading, PA; and Tiffany M. and Erick Pinell, of Tulsa, OK; his sister, Dorothy J. Boogaard, wife of Ben Boogard, of Summerfield, FL; as well as his five amazing grandchildren, Stephen Nanna, Joshua Nanna, Elisa Nanna, Katie Smith, wife of John Smith, and Jake Pinell. He was predeceased by brothers, Thomas Unmuth and Adrian "Bud" Unmuth. He is also remembered with great affection by his extended family and friends.
Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find peace knowing that his love endures in each of us - in every story told and every moment shared in his memory, and that we shall surely be reunited with him again in heaven one day.
A private family celebration of David's life will be held on Tuesday, November 4th. Arrangements entrusted to John P. Feeney Funeral Home, Inc. 625 N. 4th Street at Centre Ave., Reading, PA 19601, 610-372-4160. Obituary and condolences at www.johnpfeeney.com.
