David Anthony Valdez Sr. 54, passed away on March 2, 2026 at home with family surrounding him. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the son of Frances and Romualdo Gutierrez. He was employed as various blue-collar work and worked as an irrigation technician. He enjoyed reading Louis L’ Amours western novels, watching Looney Tunes/Tom and Jerry, listening to his music bone shakingly loud, and taking many nature photos consisting of the moon, trees, and flowers.
He will be remembered for his warrior like personality, always willing to lend a helping hand, and his fierce loving. He was a man who has touched many lives and will never be forgotten. He is survived by his sons and daughters, many grandchildren, parents and siblings.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM with the Funeral/Memorial service starting at 1:00 PM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road in Phoenix. The burial services will be held at East Resthaven Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Any flowers should be sent directly to the funeral home and any donations can be sent to his family.
