Con profundo dolor, pero con gratitud en el corazón, despedimos a David, quien partió dejando una huella imborrable en la vida de todos los que tuvimos el privilegio de conocerlo.
David fue una de mis personas favoritas y también una de las personas más importantes para mi hijo. Era, sin duda, un ángel que Dios dejó en la tierra. Su forma de ser y la manera en que trataba a los demás hablaban por sí solas: bondadoso, solidario y siempre dispuesto a ayudar sin esperar nada a cambio.
Tenía un corazón inmenso. Ayudó a muchas personas en la República Dominicana, a quienes llamaba con amor hijos, mamá y abuela. En cada lugar dejó huellas de esperanza, amor y generosidad, brindando apoyo a quienes más lo necesitaban y regalando dignidad junto a cada gesto.
David fue también un excelente padre, responsable, presente y lleno de amor. Era una persona con la que se podía hablar sin temor, porque siempre dejaba todo para escuchar. Conversador, alegre, amante del baile y de compartir con sus amigos, sabía disfrutar la vida con sencillez y autenticidad.
Para mí, fue la única persona en quien podía confiar plenamente a mi hijo y hasta a mi perro, reflejo de la confianza, nobleza y seguridad que transmitía como ser humano.
Su partida deja un gran vacío, pero creemos que Dios lo llamó a descansar. Porque los ángeles, cuando cumplen su misión en la tierra, regresan al cielo para descansar con Papá Dios.
David vivirá por siempre en nuestros recuerdos, en cada vida que tocó y en cada acto de amor que sembró.
Descansa en paz.
