David Vesely Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hallowell & James Funeral Home - Countryside on Feb. 26, 2025.
David Joseph Vesely, age 56, of Western Springs, formerly of Berwyn IL and St. Francis, WI, passed away peacefully on February 25th, 2025. Beloved son of the late John (Christine) & Nancy Vesely; cherished brother of the late Michael (former spouse, Sue) Vesely, Laura (Skip) Nemecek, and John (Judy) Vesely; step-brother of Eddie (Jenny) Synek (children: Eddie and Ella), Matthew (Lisa) Synek (children: Joey and Owen), and Andy Synek; loving uncle of Michael (Tara) Vesely, Sarah Nemecek, Scott (Erin) Nemecek, Mark Nemecek, Jenna (Jose) Melchor, and Jessica Vesely (fiancé Jorge Ramos); devoted great uncle of Lee & Jane Nemecek, Dominic & Gianna Melchor; nephew of Joanne Benson, Margaret Branecki, and Arlene Tymick; fond friend and cousin of many.
In life, David enjoyed a lifelong friendship with Julie Przyzycki. Together they enjoyed many years of travel. David's favorite places to visit included Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Wisconsin Dells, and Lake Minocqua. In later life, David enjoyed reminiscing and spending time with Julie's family.
David enjoyed hockey, he was a talented artist and studied art at Illinois State University. David's hobbies included collecting vintage toys and sports memorabilia from the 1970's. He later resided in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and enjoyed spending his time at Brewer's Stadium, local beaches and restaurants. David was very fond of the memories he created while living in Wisconsin.
David was a lifetime enthusiast of cats. He spent endless hours coaxing stray cats off the street and often found himself caring for young kittens. Many of the cats found their homes with David or with his close family and friends. David was a lover of all of God's creation. His kindness, humor and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation 4 to 8pm on Friday, February 28 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Family and friends will meet at St. Damien Catholic Church, 5250 155th St., Oak Forest on Saturday, March 1 for 11am Mass. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.

Laura, John
Matty was just recalling how kind-hearted David was when he first moved into Bucko´s house in Berwyn, saying what a great stepbrother in his welcoming attitude... we are deeply sorry for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this incredibly difficult time. Please know that we are here for you, and if there´s anything we can do to support you, don´t hesitate to reach out. Wishing you strength and comfort in the days to come.
