David Paul Vines, 62, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025. He was born on June 30, 1963, in Shreveport, Louisiana, a city he proudly called home throughout his life.

David was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan whose loyalty to his team was matched only by his love for laughter. A natural jokester, he had a gift for making others smile, and his warm, easygoing spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Those who knew David will remember him as someone who could light up a room with humor, kindness, and genuine affection for others.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen Vines; and his brothers, Joel Vines and Ricky Vines.

David is survived by his loving family, including his sister, Tricia Vines Davis and husband Scott Davis; his brothers, Don Vines and wife Ann, and Bill Vines and wife Linda; and his beloved sons, Zach Vines and Brody Vines. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who cherished him deeply and will carry his memory in their hearts always.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of St. Joseph's Carpenter House for the exceptional care, comfort, and kindness shown to David and his loved ones.

A Celebration of Life service honoring David's life will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with his nephew, Pastor Daniel Vines, officiating.

David's legacy of laughter, love, and joy will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know him.
