David Allen Wainwright, age 66, of Monroe City, Missouri, departed from this life on Friday, May 3, 2024. Born on June 22, 1957, to Wesley John Wainwright and Shirley Evelyn Swadinsky, David's life was marked by service, craftsmanship, and a deep love for his family.
A proud Army veteran, David dedicated himself to serving his country with honor and distinction. Following his military service, he found solace and fulfillment in woodworking, where his skilled hands crafted beauty from raw materials. However, above all else, David cherished the time spent in the company of his beloved family.
David is survived by his sister, Joy Benja (Ray); sister-in-law, Mary Wainwright; brother-in-law, Bob Peterson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley John Wainwright and Shirley Evelyn Swadinsky; three brothers, Frank Wainwright, Wesley Wainwright, and Michael Wainwright; and two sisters, Helen Peterson and Sheila Williams.
The family has entrusted Garner Funeral Home in Monroe City, Missouri, with the arrangements. At this time, no services are planned.
As David's loved ones reflect on his life, may they find comfort in the cherished memories and moments shared with him. Though he may have departed from this world, his legacy of love and dedication will forever endure in the hearts of those who knew him.
