David Jon Wallenberg, 66, died on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at his residence in rural Goodridge, MN.
The service Celebrating the life of David Jon Wallenberg of Goodridge will be held at 2:30 Saturday June 21, 2025 at the Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls.
Family and friends may gather at Johnson Funeral Service on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:30 until the time of service. Burial will follow at Goodridge Cemetery, Rural Goodridge, MN.
David "Dave" Jon Wallenberg was born to Bud and Arvilla (Jahnke) on April 2, 1959 in Bertha, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at St Paul's Lutheran church in Bertha. David grew up on the farm with his siblings. David attended school in Bertha and Perham.
David began his working career as a farmer. Working on the family farm in Bertha, Ottertail and Goodridge. David married Gerry Schalwig on July 20, 1991 and together they had two children. Later David met and married Chiradee Oreta on April 4, 2006. And together they had three children.
David enjoyed working on the farm, he enjoyed planting, harvesting and reaping the rewards from his hard work. David always had a garden and loved to share his bounty. David's hobbies were growing mushrooms for their health benefits. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with machinery and motors.
He is survived by his wife, Chiradee Wallenberg, children: Branden Sherer, Misty Gregory, David Wallenberg, Jr., Matthew Wallenberg, Joshua Wallenberg, and Jean Wallenberg; grandchildren Kaleb Gregory, Easton Nunn, Brynley Dicken, Kannin Carpenter: sisters, Carol Erks, and Susan (Dick) Wirta, sister-in-law: Sherry Wallenberg; brother-in-law: Duane (Kathy) Kupfer, and aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents Bud and Arvilla Wallenberg, siblings: Jean Kupfer, Jim Wallenberg, brother-in-law: Dale Erks.
