David Monroe Watts, age 72, born September 26, 1950, went to be home with the Lord peacefully on October 16, 2022.
He was a native of Horry County, South Carolina and the youngest son of the late Wilma Crowe and Lester Watts and preceded in death by brother Wayne Watts.
David loved going to the mountains. He loved his family and his church family. He was a member of Love Valley Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC. He was a veteran of the US Army.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Cindy Watts; brother, Allen Watts; two sons, Matthew, and John Watts; a daughter, Chastity Watts; daughters-in-law, Kristy Watts, and Jennifer Watts; and seven grandchildren, Dalton Watts, Jaylee Watts, Joanna Watts, Seth Carpenter, Beau Carpenter, Kaden Carpenter, and Garrett Carpenter.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Friday, October 21, 2022, at Love Valley Baptist Church - 2032 Bethlehem Road Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Love Valley Baptist Church.
Interment will follow the service with Military Honors presented by Army National Guard, at Baptist Tabernacle Church Cemetery, Dallas, NC. Pallbearers will be Matthew Watts, John Watts, Seth Carpenter, Beau Carpenter, Kaden Carpenter, Garrett Carpenter, Dalton Watts, and Jaylee Watts. Honorary pallbearer will be Tim Watts.
