Richard Dean Watts, born on September 6, 1956, in Farmington, New Mexico, Passed away on July 6, 2025, leaving behind a rich legacy of hard work, love and a deep appreciation for the beauty of life. Raised in Farmington, Richard dedicated many years to oil fields, where became known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft. He also made significant contributions to the community through his work in delivering propane in La Veta and providing concrete services. Richard was passionate about working with his hands, particularly in woodworking, where he found joy in crafting beautiful pieces. A lover of animals and motorcycles, Richard cherished the freedom of riding through the mountains, relishing the breathtaking scenery that surrounded him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbra Watts, along with his son, Brandon Watts, and his beloved daughter, Gina Griego, and grandson, Triston Griego. He took great pride in being a grandfather to his great-grandchild, Bobby Dean, from Payge and Justin. Richard Watts will be remembered for his industrious spirit, his love for his family, and the kindness he shared with everyone he met.
Following the cemetery burial, there will be a reception back at the first Baptist Church to celebrate his life and the memories he created with those he loved. Rest in peace, Richard.
