David West Obituary
David graduated from Port Huron Northern High School in 1968. He then went on to proudly serve his country as a sergeant in the United States Army for three years, serving during the Vietnam war. After his military career he went on to obtain an associates degree and worked as an auto mechanic. Dave was known for being hard working and dedicated to his career and began his own business, Dave's Bump and Spray Shop.
He had love and passion for working and building cars, but his true dedication was his family. He was always available to provide unwavering love, support and advice. Those who knew him were blessed with his sarcastic sense of humor and wisdom. His true wealth was in his generous heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ardythe West, two brothers Bernie and Michael, and his loyal dog Mizzier.
He is survived by his daughter Brooke (Joseph) Pegg, granddaughters Avery and Kalei Pegg, his siblings, Richard (Paula) West, Paulette Kacaperski, Paul (Sandy) West, Scott (Ann) West, Debbie (Doug) Brown, Ardy (Scott) McKeand, many nieces and nephews, close friends and his beloved dog, Baby.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
A private service will be held by family. Arrangements were entrusted to Grace Memorial. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of David, please visit our Tree Store.
