David Alan Westerman of Houston, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2006, following a brief, yet valiant fight with cancer. He was born in Baytown on November 9, 1961, to Lowell and Jean Westerman and was raised here. He was a regional technical games manager for Palace Entertainment, and was an expert at writing video game collection and analysis programs for the video entertainment industry. He was a member of the Robert E. Lee band and played with the Baytown Symphony. He was a Cub Scout leader and an assistant leader in Boy Scouts. He enjoyed playing bass guitar in a number of rock bands in the west Houston area. He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his wife Lisa Risch Westerman of Houston; sons Christopher Westerman of Baytown, Patryck Wales of Houston, Jybian Lawinde and partner, Tristan Mac Avery, of Midlothian, Virginia, and Griffyn Wales of Houston; father, Lowell Westerman of Baytown; brothers Bill Westerman and wife, Debbie, of Highlands, Jim Westerman and wife, Mariza, of Friendswood; sisters Cheryl Westerman of Austin, and Judy Marks and husband, Bill, of Rusk; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2:00 pm, at First Westminster Presbyterian Church with Dr. Richard Kleiman officiating. For those desiring, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
