David Westfall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory (43rd St. Chapel) - Bradenton on Jan. 19, 2026.
David Pearson Westfall, 79, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on January 12, 2026. David was born on April 13, 1946, in Buffalo, New York, to John Carson Westfall and Margaret Pearson Westfall. He grew up in Union Town, PA and Bridgeport, VA, where he was active in the Boy Scouts during his youth, an experience that helped shape his lifelong values of service, responsibility, and leadership. In 1959 the family moved to Sarasota and then they made Bradenton their home. He graduated from Manatee High School in 1964.
Following high school, David proudly served in the United States Air Force, including time stationed overseas in the Philippines. After completing his military service, he attended the University of South Florida, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1967 and went on to enjoy a long and successful career as a CPA in Bradenton. David owned his own CPA firm serving clients and the community for over four decades.
David was deeply involved in his community. He was a dedicated member of the Sertoma Club of Bradenton and continued to support youth and other local service organizations throughout his life. He was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and willingness to help others.
Outside of work, David loved the outdoors. He especially enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family, which was always his greatest joy.
David's legacy is carried on by his beloved wife of 55 years, Christine Bott Westfall; his children Lindsy Westfall Kruse (Brent Kruse) and Carson Westfall (Amber Westfall); his grandchildren Mackenzie Mott Perschino (Chris Perschino), Hannah Mott, Madison Westfall, and Callin Westfall; Step Grandchildren Kylie Kruse Perna (Josh Perna) and Jack Kruse; and his great-grandchild Callahan Perschino, whom he was especially proud to recently welcome into the family. He is also survived by his siblings John Westfall (Carol Westfall) along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and loved ones.
David Pearson Westfall will be remembered for his steadfast love, his service to his country and community, and the immeasurable impact he had on the lives of those he touched. His warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed, yet his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. As we reflect on his life, we are reminded of the profound difference one person can make in the world. David did just that, and for that, we are eternally grateful.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday January 31,2026, at 11AM at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209.
