David N. Wickey, 79, of Berne, IN, passed away at 3:25 AM on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Woodcrest of Decatur in Decatur, IN. He was born on Thursday, June 14, 1945, in Adams County, IN. David attended Bi County Services in Bluffton, IN. He was of the Old Order Amish Church.
Survivors include his sisters - Mary Ann (Joe) Hilty, Monroe, IN, Christine (Mose) Schmidt, Salem, IN, Mattie Schwartz, Berne, IN, Mandy (Jonas) Schwartz, Hicksville, OH, sister-in-law - Katie Wickey, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father - Noah D. Wickey, mother - Mattie (Schwartz) Wickey, brother - Martin Wickey, sisters - Josephine Schwartz and Salome Eicher, brothers-in-law - Leroy Schwartz, Jake B. Schwartz, Clarence Eicher, and sister-in-law - Emma Schwartz.
Visitation will be held at the Schwartz Residence located at 5135 S. 300 W. Berne on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Schwartz Residence at 9:00 AM on Monday, March 31, 2025 with Bishop David Wengerd officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Amish Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
