David Neal Williams, II, 76, entered into rest on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
David was born on April 28, 1948, in Salem, Ohio to the late David Neal Williams, Sr. and Anita Mae Armstrong Williams. His family would relocate to Jackson, Tennessee, where he grew up. Following his high school graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. From there, he served in the Southeast Asia/Vietnam conflict while stationed at Ubon Royal Thai Air Force Base. He married his beloved wife, Peggy, in 1967. Following his honorable service, he worked in civil service at Robins Air Force Base as an aircraft overhaul supervisor until his retirement, with his career spanning across C-130s, F-15s, C-141s, and F-4s.
In his free time, David loved working outside, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and reading about history, particularly historical conflicts. He and Peggy also spent many happy years camping with Patsy and John. David will be deeply missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 57 years, Peggy Simmons Williams; three children, Lorey (Jeff), Jason, and Ryan (Kortney); five grandchildren, Cheyne (Rachel), Alexa, Hannah, Avery, and Dacey; two great-grandchildren, Brantley, and Cheyenne; sister, Carol Kennedy (Robert) of Tucson, AZ; close in-laws, Linda and William Grant and Shirley and Mike Brumfield, along with special friends who were dear to him, Patsy and John Bearden.
