Mr. David Alexander Williams, age 56, a native of St. Stephens and a resident of Jackson AL., was born February 1, 1968, to the parentage of the late Mrs. Bernice (Davis) Williams and the late Mr. Willie (Pete) Williams. Mr. David Williams departed this life on June 25, 2024, at Jackson Medical Center, Jackson AL.
As a youth, he was active in the Boy Scouts; his hobbies included swimming and skating. He was a loving person and loved to be around family and friends. David was educated in the Hendersonville School System, Hendersonville NC. He was employed with Spice Food in Jackson; AL and he worked as a R-Pack Team Member.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Davis Williams; his father, Willie "Pete" Williams; his sister, Ella Marie Williams; his brother, Willie James Williams; his maternal grandparents, Joe and Katherine Davis; his paternal grandparents, Sam and Sally May; three aunts, Ruby Davis, Mary Lee Davis, and Mammie May Atchison; four uncles, Theodore Davis, Wallace Davis, Willie James Davis, and Joe Atchison; one great aunt, Saddie Armstead.
He is survived by six aunts, Catherine Gilliam of Mobile AL. who raised him from age 8 to age 13; Thelma Marie (Albert) Crump, of Neptune NJ; Rev. Dr. Dorothy D. (Rev. Jeff) Davis of Mobile AL; Martha J. Davis (Eli) Gilliam of Tinton Falls NJ; Elise Richardson of Mobile AL; Annie Davis of Akron OH; five uncles, Joe Davis of Houston Texas; Rev. Charles L. (Joyce) Davis of Richmond Heights, OH; Freddie L. Davis of Cleveland, OH; John H. Davis and Martin (Delaney) Davis, both of St. Stephens Al; one great-uncle, Charles Armstead of Mobile AL, and a host of cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024, 1pm in the Chapel of Andrews Funeral Home.
