Kansas City, Missouri - David Kingsley Williamson - beloved husband, father, and grandfather - died peacefully in his home on November 29, 2024. He was 81 years old.
David was born in San Antonio, TX to Branch Evans and Harry Evans and was later adopted by his stepfather, George Williamson. He grew up in Littleton, CO and later moved to Independence, MO with his mother, stepfather, and beloved grandmother Cornelia Kingsley, AKA Nana. Growing up he loved to play with his step-sister, Dee Crowley (née Williamson), and they remained close until her death.
David served in the Navy in the late 1960s and was stationed in Scotland and Key West, FL. He spent time on nuclear submarines during the Cuban missile crisis, but was never one to brag about his service. Still, the Navy and the connections he made there were the foundation for his career and a source of pride throughout his life.
David worked as an industrial engineer, serving for three decades at Owens Corning in Kansas City, KS. He later struck out on his own and consulted for many industrial facilities across the country and abroad.
David is preceded in death by his son Eric Danner (Casey). He leaves behind wife Roxanne; son Shaun Williamson (Andrea); daughters Heather Williamson (Chris), Amanda McCracken (Cody), and Alex Williamson; grandchildren Tyler, Taylor, Trent, Dylan, Wren, Tucker, Madeline, and Charlotte; niece Laura Lynch (Tim); and half-sister Georgette Shikles.
David delighted in his family, especially his grandchildren, and was a steady source of support for those he loved. He leaves behind a hole that can't be filled. We will miss him forever.

Dave was always there to lend a hand or help his family anyway he could. I will miss my brother in law. He was a fine man, I will hold onto my fond memories.
