David Wayne Williamson Sr., age 67, of Washington, Georgia, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in Washington, Georgia. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 26, 1958, David lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and love for his family and community.

David leaves behind a legacy enriched by his devoted marriage of 39 years to his loving wife, Dawn King Williamson of Washington, Georgia. He is also survived by his adoring children, David Williamson Jr. and his wife Maria Del Carmen Garcia Lopez of Birmingham, Alabama, and Debra Thomson and her husband Lee of Washington, Georgia. David was a cherished grandfather to four grandchildren: Ava Thomson, Michelle Williamson-Lopez, Marie Williamson-Lopez, and Lucas Thomson. He is also survived by his sister Karen Pettit and her husband Albert of Marlboro, Maryland, and his brother Jessie Williamson and his wife Nancy of Washington, Georgia, along with many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Seba Williamson Sr. and Anna Pearl Walker Williamson, his sisters—including his twin sister, Deborah Williamson—and Pat Preston, as well as his brothers, Seba Williamson Jr. and Keith Williamson.

An honorable man, David proudly served in the United States Army. He later became a dedicated iron worker, spending his career at The Plumbers & Gasfitters of Local 5 in Washington, D.C. Beyond his work, David found joy in life's simple pleasures; he loved camping, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date to honor David's memory and the profound impact he left on those who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an Alopecia Foundation of your choice, a cause that was dear to David's heart.

While David’s physical presence will be dearly missed, his spirit, kindness, and the memories shared will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
