David Wolfenbarger Sr., age 68 of Seymour passed away January 21, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. David was a man of deep character and unwavering integrity. His life was marked by passion, generosity, and unrelenting love for those he held dear. David was a truly amazing husband, father and friend who made the people around him better simply by being himself. The world is a little less bright today because of his absence.

He was preceded death by his parents, Jess and Lorene Wolfenbarger; brother, Bobby Wolfenbarger; infant brother, Lloyd Wolfenbarger; and sister, Martha Ann Wolfenbarger.

David is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Wolfenbarger; son and daughter-in-law, David Jr. and Buffy Wolfenbarger; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and David Crowe; grandchildren: Max Escue, Morgan Martin, Israel Earles, Alivia Earles, Seraphina Greene, Joseph Velazquez, Jeremy Martin, John Howard, Jordan Martin, Michelle Martin and Gabby Martin; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Sally Wolfenbarger; along with many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral Services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Les Martin officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 29th at Seven Island Cemetery in Knoxville for graveside services and interment.
