Rita Vendola Obituary

Rita F. Vendola, age 79 of Knoxville passed away peacefully at her home on February 3, 2026, surrounded by her family. Rita's greatest passion was loving and caring for her family. She married the love of her life, David Vendola, in 1989. Rita enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and she was the best Grandma ever!



Rita was an award winning manager at McDonald's restaurants from 1973 to 2017. She was the Lenoir City manager for 25 years. During that time, Rita was a mentor and friend to many of the employees. She was friendly with her customers and enjoyed taking time to talk with them.



She was preceded in death by her infant son, Edwin Parkhurst III; parents, Earl Livingston and Mary Eldridge Livingston, and brother, Kenneth Livingston.



Rita is survived by her devoted husband, David Vendola; children and spouses: Sandra and Jack Waters, Paul and Terri Parkhurst, and Dylann Vendola; grandchildren and spouses: Paige and Ron Monks, Phoebe Parkhurst, Lucas Lovingood, Landon Lovingood and nephew, David Livingston, along with other loved ones.



The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. A Celebration of Life will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Paul Armstrong officiating.

I'm so saddened to hear of the passing of Rita. Very grateful for the many years of deep love she shared with my friend David & his daughter, Dylann & her children Landon & Lucas. May you rest in peace & watch over those of us still on this earthly plain.
