David Lee Worsley, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on August 4, 2025, at the age of 76. He was born on December 8, 1948, in Portsmouth, Virginia, where he built a life filled with love, compassion, and cherished memories.

David was a devoted family man, deeply committed to his wife of 54 years and their four daughters. His wife, Patricia, affectionately known as "Pat," will tell you that on November 8, 1971, she married David, and her life was forever changed because she found her soulmate here on earth. He was a pillar of strength and a constant source of support and unwavering love to his family. His greatest joys were building model cars and spending time with family, especially events that involved home cooking and his grandchildren.

Professionally, David worked on Thigpen Farm during the summer months with his aunt and uncle. After graduating from Deep Creek High School in 1970, he joined the United States Army, where he served for 12 years. He was stationed in Colorado, Kansas, and Germany for many years, where he took the opportunity to tour Europe with his wife. Before retiring, he worked for Walmart in Lawn & Garden.

David will be remembered for his warm smile, fun-loving demeanor, and for filling in the gap in support of his grandchildren. He touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and perseverance. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of truly knowing him.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Patricia; his brothers and sisters; his four daughters to include Shelby Goldsmith (Bernard), Sheila Anderson (James), Stephanie Worsley, and Shannon Worsley (Kenyatta). His grandchildren are Richard Chong (Ashley), Jasmine Herrion ( Jay), Danielle Ervin (Nicholas), Deanna Goldsmith, Kaliyel Saulsberry, Kaelyn Saulsberry, and Kaden Saulsberry; brother-in-law John Anderson (Wanda), sister-in-law Sharon Anderson, six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in David's memory to the American Cancer Society, supporting research and individuals affected by cancer.

The Worsley family extends heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, support, and condolences during this difficult time.
