EDINBURG - David Wayne Wright Jr. passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026 at the age of 62 at South Texas Health System in Edinburg.

David was a proud loving father, grandfather, son and brother.

He found joy in life’s simple but meaningful pleasures. He loved firing up the grill and feeding the people he loved. He spent hours reading and diving into history for relaxation. He found joy in his woodworking projects and reflected in nature while out hunting.

He moved through life with a quiet strength, strong values, and a love for his family that was constant and unwavering. Becoming a grandfather was one of his greatest blessings and his grandson brought him immeasurable pride and joy.

David is preceded in death by his father, David Wayne Wright Sr.; mother, Doris Wanda Aaron Wright; and sister, Marcia Wright Raney.

David is survived by his daughter, Adrianne Nicole Wright; and his grandson, Jameson Wayne Hagel.

Though his family’s hearts are heavy, they find comfort knowing he is finally at rest. He will be deeply missed and remembered forever.

A service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Visitation will begin at 5pm with a 6pm Memorial Service.
