David Wright Obituary
David Todd Wright, age 60, of Cherryville, passed away January 16, 2024, at Atrium Health Main. David was born August 19, 1963, in Cleveland County to the late William “Bill” Monroe Wright and Mary Magdelene Towery Wright. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and UNC Tarheels fan. David was also a loyal NASCAR fan.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger Wright and Marty Homesley.
Survivors include his wife, Dana Michelle Gantt; children, Dylan Wright, William Wright, McKenzie Wright and Fallon Gantt (Joseph Conner); fiancé, Phyliss Clary; brother, Dennis Wright (Linda); sister, Billie Rice (Everette); grandchildren, Zander, Zaylii, and Grayson Wright; cousins, Angie Leatherman and Kim Hullender; close friend, Whitney Ledford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Holtsclaw officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
