David Franklin “Dave” Wyman, 76, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at his home. He was born on June 14, 1949 to Cecil and Wanda (Myers) Wyman in Noblesville, Indiana.
Dave proudly served as an aircraft mechanic in the United States Air Force, stationing throughout Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he took on a postal carrier walking route, hand delivering mail across Noblesville and meeting the town in the process. Eventually moving to a standard mail truck, he continued on at USPS, retiring after 43 years of service. In retirement, he worked part-time at Noblesville Schools as a custodian.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, and friend and he took great pride in his family. Dave loved to have fun with friends and family. He and Dawn poured their hearts into building a beautiful home to host gatherings for endless days by the pool, shooting darts, playing euchre, and spending time with others. Dave was always joking and making people smile.
Beneath the kind approachable exterior, Dave was a strong steadfast provider who quietly carried the burdens of life so others didn’t have to. More recently, one of his catchphrases was, “Don’t worry about me, I’m a tough cookie.”
Dave is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dawn Wyman; son, David Wyman; sisters, Cecelia Turbyville and Becky (David) Greer; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde A. Wyman.
