David Allan York, 60, of Coatesville, Indiana, passed away on the 4th of July, 2024. Born on April 25, 1964, in Danville, Indiana, he was the son of the late Robert York and Roberta York (Eggers). David was a respected member of the community and a man of great integrity and kindness.
Throughout his career, David was employed by Oxford Automotive, Cline Grain, and Mitchell Excavating. His dedication to his profession was evident in the quality of his work and the respect he earned from his colleagues.
David was a man of many interests and particularly enjoyed NASCAR racing, monster trucks, working on cars, gardening, home improvement projects, and flying hobby planes. These pastimes were a reflection of his love for mechanics and the outdoors, and they brought him much joy throughout his life.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by brother, Robert “Bob” York (wife Janette); sister, Kelly Hill (husband James); wife, Melissia; daughters, Amber Lucas (husband Daniel), Ashley York, and Jeri Gardner; stepdaughters, Tiara Reynolds and Druetta York; granddaughters, Amy, Jetta, Penelope, and Abby; nieces, Cheyenne and Mariah; and nephew, Robert Allan.
David's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, his unwavering support of his family, and his gentle demeanor. His legacy will live on in the memories of his loved ones.
