David Zukauskas Obituary
David J. Zukauskas, 69, of Terryville, CT passed away on June 12, 2024, after a valiant battle with cancer and a brief illness. He was the son of Edward and Alice Zukauskas, and was born on May 23, 1955, in Waterbury. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Wolcott where he grew up. He graduated from Wolcott High School in 1973. He was employed by Connecticut Light and Power (CL&P) Company for over thirty years and he also worked part-time as a real estate agent where he met his future bride, Gaye. After his retirement from CL&P, he established his own energy management consultant firm for a number of years. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 15 years, Gaye (Stasonis) in 2013. He adored his
nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren, and had many close life-long friends. He is survived by a brother Bruce (Jolene) Zukauskas, a step-son Gary Stasonis, a step-daughter Stacy (Ritchie) Carmichael, one grandson, two granddaughters, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at a later date. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, is

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, or a charity of your choice.

My condolences to the family. Dave and I went to school together at WHS. He was a kind, caring, thoughtful and sincere man. I will always remember his kindness and support to me after my daughter's passing. Dave's support to the veterans, is not to be forgotten. Rest in peace, you have been made new in heaven.
