Allen Davis Johnson, age 86, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Brightmoor Hospice.

Davis was born on November 30, 1939 in Griffin, Georgia. His parents, Wilbur Homer Johnson and Jeanelle Brooks Johnson, and brother, Harold Johnson, preceded him in death. Davis graduated from Griffin High School in 1957. He served in the Army and Georgia National Guard. He owned a parts business before his employment with Delta Airlines for many years. After his retirement from Delta, he went to work for NACOM. He then worked part-time with Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.

He stated that "the Lord led him after 34 years to meet the love of his life and high school sweetheart Dayle Alderman in 1991 and was married in 1992. These past years have been the happiest and most blessed days of my life. We enjoyed being together, going out with friends to different restaurants and travelling. Our favorite place is Maine. I gave Dayle a new name "Dixie". I told her she was sweet as Dixie Crystal sugar and now she is known as "Dixie".

He enjoyed his time with the Masons and Shriners, hunting, fishing, and yard work. He loved UGA football and the Atlanta Braves. His prayer was for him and Dixie to have many, many years together until their reunion in heaven. They were blessed with 34 years.

Survivors include his wife, Dayle "Dixie" Johnson; daughter, Robin Bounds; son, Allen "Dave" Davis Johnson; grandchildren, Zack Smith (Taran), Jarad Smith (Chastin), Cadie Parrish (Bryan), Micayla Homiller (Trent), Rebecca Floyd (Brad), and Anna Armstrong (Neil); 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Russell Johnson; sister, Penny Taylor (Steve); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Gene Luke and Pastor Bryan Parrish will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Yaarab Temple at 400 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30308 and designate it for the Children's Hospital.
