Hershel Adams Obituary
Hershel was born in Camilla, Georgia on February 3, 1942. His parents, Eugene Adams and Mary Lee Adams, wife, Gail Casey Adams, all preceded him in death. Hershel was retired from the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the DeKalb County Fire Department, and also was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Survivors include a son, Rick Adams; daughters, Kim Smith and Susan Davis (Mike); 5 grandchildren, Krista Barrett, Michael Barrett (Julie), Kody Adams, Kole Adams (Brooke) and Casey Davis; 7 great-grandchildren, Payton, Scott, Kaleb, Ryan, Jaynee, Michael Jr. & Alex; 2 great great-grandchildren, Colby and Ricky. Hershel's sisters are Sarah Connell and Genie Cumbie and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Steve Newman will officiate. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery with military honors.
