Dawn Denise Aichele, 69, of Sandwich, IL passed away on Sunday, June 15th, 2025 with family by her side. Dawn was born on December 20th, 1955. Dawn was the youngest daughter of Alford and Thelma Miller of Hinckley. She married Doug Aichele on January 19th, 1974 and graduated from HBR on June 5th, 1974.
Dawn is survived by her husband of 51 years, Doug; 5 children, Michele and Jeff Paul, Christopher (Fiancé Lisa) Aichele, Desireé (Daniel Ibarra) Aichele, Nathaniel and Lora Aichele, and Austin Aichele; 9 grandchildren; And 2 sisters, Marilyn Petrie and Karen (Ron) Miller.
Dawn was baptized and became a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Hinckley on December 21st, 1975.
When Dawn was in her younger school days, she was given the nickname “Mighty Smile” and it matched her heart perfectly. She was a woman who loved life, children and her family, and most of all her love for her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Dawn will be remembered for her tender and beautiful personality. We are going to miss our mom and gramme.
A celebration is being planned for later this year.
