Dawn Ann Beadles

        Dawn Ann Beadles, 68, of Carmi, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 3, 1955, in Carmi, Illinois, the daughter of Arnold Lee and Joyce (Hawkins) French. Dawn married Jonathan R. Beadles on August 24, 1974, and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2011. She graduated from Carmi Community High School in 1973. Dawn worked as the Activity Director at Wabash Christian for 27 years and then went on to work for four years at Brownsville School as an Individual Aide. 

     Dawn is survived by her daughter, Terra (Greg) Gross, of Ridgway, IL; grandchildren, Seth Gross, LaClare Gross, Hannah Gross and Mackenzie Armstrong; great-grandchildren, Liam Overfield,  Ameilia Overfield and Paisley Overfield, ; bonus children, Diana (Bill) Gilpin, David Brockett, Amanda (Tim) Knight, Patrick (Zuniga) Brockett and Nathaniel (Christine) Brockett; two siblings, Arnold Lee French Jr. of Carmi, IL, and Dixie Wilson of Crete, IL;  her companion of 10 years, Stan Poshard; and a fur kid, Hank.  In addition to her husband, Jonathan R. Beadles, Dawn is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Natasha Beadles; and her fur kid, Sassy.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

       Funeral services for Dawn Beadles will be held at 2:00 p.m.. on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Campbell Funeral Home in  Carmi. Family and friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until time of service on Saturday, December 23, 2023. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Dawn's memory to Southern Illinois Hospice, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
