Pamela "Dawn" Cook
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Pamela "Dawn" Cook, who left this world surrounded by love on February 21, 2025. Dawn was a cherished daughter, devoted spouse, beloved sister, and adored mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Dawn was the daughter of Shirley Cook Long, who survives her, and Neil Cook, who preceded her in passing. She shared a deep and lasting bond with her spouse of 24 years, Cynthia, with whom she built a life filled with love and unwavering support. She is survived by her wonderful children, Lori, Jerry, Kim, Nathan, Haleigh and her bonus daughter, Skylar. DJ her favorite nephew whom she loved hassling with his school work and watching him play soccer. Dawn's legacy continues through her many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will carry forward her warmth and kindness.
She is also survived by her three sisters, Laurinda, Missy, and Neilann, who will forever cherish the memories and love they shared.
Dawn’s life was one of love, strength, and compassion. She touched the hearts of everyone who knew her, leaving behind a lasting impact that will be felt for generations to come. Her laughter, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to her family will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening , February 25, 2025 from 5pm - 8pm. A celebration of Dawn’s life will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence on February 26, 2025 at 11 am, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the beautiful soul she was. Pallbearers are as follows Nathan Johnston , Jerry Copeland, Lee Lovern, Roger Williams, Riley Williams, and Shane Jolly. May her spirit live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
