Dawn Renee Dotson

Dawn Renee Dotson, age 57 years, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri. She was born in Peoria, Illinois, on September 23, 1965, to Robert and Ramona (Pruiett) Fisher.
She attended Washington Community High School in Washington, Illinois. After high school she went on to attend Illinois Central College in East Peoria, Illinois. Her studies lead her to a career in Early Childhood Education as she went on to be a beloved pre-school teacher.
Dawn married the love of her life, Jim Dotson Jr., in December of 1991.
She also enjoyed her association with Honor Flight of the Ozarks, camping, Cardinal baseball games, and spending as much time as possible with family and friends.
Dawn is preceded in death by her nephew, Cody John Brian; aunt, Linda Baker; father-in-law, Jim Dotson Sr.; and her grandparents.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Dotson Jr; parents, Bob and Ramona Fisher; sisters, Jonna (Eric) Hemminger, Bobbi Fisher, Toni (Jeff) Weller, and Jeniffer (Chris) Woodward; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews along with numerous other family and dear friends.
Dawn was the most selfless person with the biggest heart and will be greatly missed.
A family lead Celebration of Life will happen at a later date.
