Dawn Louise Hess (Natzke) passed away in her home Thursday, June 5th. Dawn was born December 3rd, to mother, Veronica Urbanski and father, Dennis Natzke (Darlene). She is survived by her devoted husband, Bryan Hess of 31 years; her children, Andrew Dahl, Megan Fleming (Taylor), Ryan Hess (Amanda), and Rebecca Hess (Alex); grandchild, Judith Hess; along with brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lori.
Dawn was known for her soft, loving voice, gentle hugs, and her unwavering unconditional love for her family. Those who knew her understood that she loved with extraordinary depth, using her own life experiences to become a fierce protector of those she cherished. She had an innate ability to shield her loved ones from pain, carrying their burdens so they wouldn't have to. Dawn was the family's rock and glue, always showing up when it mattered most.
Her marriage to Bryan exemplified what true love looks like-built on deep respect, unwavering support, and pure devotion. Dawn set the bar high not just for love, but for life itself, modeling strength and resilience for her children. She had a remarkable sixth sense, always calling at just the right time with exactly the words her family needed to hear.
Dawn's legacy lives on in the unbreakable bonds she fostered among her children, ensuring they would always have each other. She reminded everyone that family is everything, and her profound love continues to guide those she left behind through even the most difficult moments.
Her family takes comfort knowing that Dawn, affectionately known as "LaLa" to her grandchildren, continues her role as a loving grandmother in heaven.
The family would like to extend an invitation to a celebration of Dawn's life on Saturday, June 28th, 2025 at Saint Thomas of Villanova Church, 1201 E Anderson Dr. Palatine, IL 60074.
