Dawn Renee Hess, age 68, of Meadville, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Meadville Medical Center on September 11, 2025. She was born in Meadville, PA to the late Donald and Barbara (Thompson) Burchfield on October 12, 1956.
Dawn was a Conneaut Lake High School graduate. She was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, MacGyver and Star Trek, reading her Bible and spending time with her family. She was a pet lover; always rescuing animals. She also loved Richard Dean Anderson and Israel, Jesus, hockey and horses.
She is survived by her children, Krista Gagean and her husband, Michael of Meadville, PA, Robert Hess of Meadville, PA, Jessica Hess of Pittsburgh, PA, Shannon Hess of Meadville, PA and Jonathan Hess of Titusville, PA; seven grandchildren; her brother, Michael Burchfield and his wife, Julie of Conneaut Lake, PA and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Aurora.
There will be no public services.
