Dawn H. (Shropshire) Jones Hutchings, 75 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Dawn was born in Worcester, Ma., a daughter of the late Louis T. and Chloe (Fisher) Shropshire. She was a graduate of South High School and later earned an associate’s degree from Southern Connecticut University. Dawn worked as an administrative assistant for many years at Staples. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church.

Dawn is survived by a son, Evan Jones and his wife Kelly of Millbury: three stepchildren, Timothy Hutchings of Worcester, Zachary Hutchings and his longtime companion Nicole Pambuku of Connecticut., and Margot Hutchings of California; a brother, Louis T. Shropshire, III and his wife Elizabeth of Grafton; a sister, Robin Shropshire of Worcester; five grandchildren, Sydney Hutchings, Hunter Hutchings, Harper Hutchings, Marley Hutchings and Trey Hutchings; nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Wednesday May 28th, 2025, from 10-11 am with her funeral service immediately following at 11 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Dawn’s name to the charity of your choice.
