James P. Penny, 58, of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 26, 2025.

James is survived by his loving daughter, Kasey A. Penny of Worcester; a granddaughter, Analee Montoya; a brother, Joseph F. Penny, Jr. and his wife Diana of Auburn; a sister, Karen Penny of Whitinsville; a nephew, Michael Penny; a niece, Jessica Weissman and her husband David; great nieces and great nephews, Carmine Penny, Jacob Weissman, Samantha Weissman, and Hannah Weissman. James was born in Worcester, son of the late, Joseph F. Sr. and Florence V. (Norrman) Penny, and has lived here all his life.

James graduated from Worcester Vocational Technical High School and pursued a career as a talented sheet metal worker. He worked for many years with the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 63 as an HVAC installer, often working with Lynch Construction. James loved motorsports of all kinds and enjoyed riding motorcycles and snowmobiles and was a talented handy-man able to fix almost anything.

Calling hours will be on Friday, October 3, from 9 am until 11 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 am in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery in Worcester.
