Gillian Cox, 85, of Leominster passed away with her children gathered at her side on Sunday, September 21 2025. She is reunited in heaven with the love of her life, Howard, who passed away in 2019.
Gillian was born in Northern England, the only child of David and Olive Winifred. She married Howard in 1985
Gillian is survived by her two adored children, Helen Alrutz and her husband John of Midway, PA, and David Dixon of Leominster, MA; three grandchildren she cherished, Gregory Alrutz, Anthony Repetti, Jacob Olsen and his wife Joslynn, as well as extended family members and friends.
Gillian loved to travel, visit museums, explore new places, go on cruises notably to Alaska, and the Panama Canal. She also enjoyed visiting her family and friends in England. The most memorable moments in Gillian’s life were those when her family was beside her for the holidays or special occasions.
Funeral services and burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery where she will be interred next to her husband, Colonel (Dr.) Howard B. Cox. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
