Dawn E. Overmiller

Dawn E. (Grove) Overmiller, of Windsor, entered into rest at Wellspan York Hospital on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the age of 86. She is now with her Lord and reunited with her husband, Charles F. Overmiller, who died on December 16, 2016.
She was born in York on February 6, 1937 to the late Clayton "Boots" Samuel and Margaretta Pricella (Deller) Grove. Dawn graduated from Red Lion High School, class of 1954 and was employed by the school district as a cafeteria worker for over 30 years, retiring in the Spring of 2003. Dawn showed unwavering dedication as a lifelong member of Winterstown United Methodist Church and volunteered her time in the nursery as well as being a youth leader. She was a member of the Rainbow Chapter #517, Order of the Eastern Star in Red Lion as well as the Gideons Women's Auxiliary. Dawn had a profound affection for butterflies and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dawn leaves her daughter, Lisa L. (Overmiller) Koons and husband, Daniel of York and her two sons, Brian L. Overmiller and wife, Lori of Red Lion, and Wade A. Overmiller and wife, Angela of Felton. She leaves her eight grandchildren and her eleven great-grandchildren. Dawn was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her twelfth great-grandchild. Dawn will be missed by her sister, Nedra Williams of Windsor as well as her numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant twin sister, Donna Grove, as well as her other sisters, Constance Pritt, Charmaine Seitz and Gloria Fanucci and her brothers, Marcellus Grove, Clayton Grove and Lamar Grove.
A viewing for Dawn will take place on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Winterstown United Methodist Church, 12184 Winterstown Road, Felton, PA 17322 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 am with Pastor Ann Overmiller officiating. Burial will follow in Winterstown United Brethren Cemetery. Wagner-Elfner and Burg Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion is assisting the family with arrangements.
