It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dawn (Albright) Smith, 63, of Keedysville, MD. She was born on June 11, 1962 and transitioned out of this life on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Hershey Medical Center, surrounded by family.

She was the daughter of the late Wayne E. Albright Sr. and Donna "Susie" Albright.

She was preceded in death by her Dad, Wayne (2008).

Dawn was a member of Manor Church of the Brethren. Her favorite color was purple. She loved spending time with family, family gatherings, cooking, listening to music, reading, candles, and eating mac and cheese.

Dawn attended Smithsburg High School, later receiving her GED. Previous employments include but are not limited to Sanicola Foot Drs; Citi-Corp; Homewood; and private duty care.

In addition to her Mom, she is survived by husband Gary Smith, Keedysville, MD; daughter Jenessa Giles of Waynesboro, PA; sisters Deb Albright of Waynesboro, PA; Kristin Albright of Hagerstown, MD; brothers Wayne and Jaime Albright, both of Hagerstown, MD. She is also survived by step-children Brock Smith; Valerie Hymiller; Chrissy Smith; numerous nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren; uncles and cousins.

She leaves behind special friends Mary and Rich; Iris and JC, as well as Tina and Ed. Dawn will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Special thanks to cousin Debbie Snyder; Pastor Kevin Smoot; Dr Shaina Bruce and staff as well as the MICU at Hershey Medical Center for their kindness and assistance.

Thank you to Davis Funeral Home for assisting the family during this difficult time.

There will be a Celebration of Dawn's Life at a later date.
