Dawn M. Tosto

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Dawn Marie Tosto on June 2, 2025, at the age of 69. Dawn was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose vibrant spirit and deep love for family left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Tosto, her loving mother Sally (Ron Riopelle), and her cherished daughter, Janice Marini. She will be deeply missed by her siblings Becky Broski, Gus Christensen, Craig (Teri) Christensen, and former sister-in-law Laurie Christensen. Dawn was preceded in death by her father, Harry Christensen, and her beloved son, Bill Strauss. Dawn was a proud grandmother to Haylee Strauss and Tyler Evens, both of whom brought her great joy and pride. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, each of whom she adored and loved dearly. Her affection for them was unwavering and she took immense joy in being part of their lives. A woman of passion and grit, Dawn once raced stock cars and found freedom on the open road riding her own Harley-Davidson. These moments of adrenaline and independence were balanced by her greatest joy: time spent with family. Whether it was a quiet evening together or a family gathering filled with laughter, Dawn's presence made every moment special. She will be remembered for strength, kindness and zest for life. Dawn's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. A visitation will take place at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Rd. (3Blks E. of Van Dyke) Utica, on Sunday (June 8th) from 12pm (noon) till 4pm to celebrate and honor the life of Dawn Marie Tosto.
