Dawna Lynn Chapmon, a resident of Henryetta, passed away on Monday, February 03, 2025, in Tulsa, OK at the age of 81. She was born January 1, 1944, in Henryetta, OK to Frank Boatright & Ophelia (Wallen) Boatright.
Dawna was an educator for many years working as a teacher for Dustin and Dewar Schools. She was also a member of the Eastern Star for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl Chapmon, granddaughter Andrea Mitchell, sister Sherral Counts, sister Doris Boatright, stepson Paul Earl, and stepdaughter Nancy.
Dawna is survived by her children; Richard Chapmon & wife Donna of rural Henryetta; Crystal Chapmon & Paul Hasting of Tulsa; step-children; Bobby Chapmon & wife Donna of Amarillo, Texas; Jody Hughes & husband Randell of Texas; Carol Etheridge of Texas; granddaughters, Misty Lawson, and Michaela "Kayla" Chapmon; grandsons, Montie Mitchell III, and Keith Hollins; great-granddaughters, Raven Robertson and Starr Lynn Parnell; Great grandsons, Braxton and Waylon Lawson; siblings; Metta McGee, Floy Ray, and Clayton Boatright, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM., Friday, February 7, 2025, at Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Ryan Wells, officiating. Interment will follow at New Sonora Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
