Dayle Stirn, 77, of Arlington Heights, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, at Northwest Community Hospital, surrounded by her family. She bravely faced heart disease for many years with remarkable strength.
Born on October 18, 1947, in Chicago, Dayle lived a vibrant and full life. She was the cherished mother of Brenna (William) Janness and beloved sister of Randy (Lauren) Olsberg. Some of her fondest memories came from her childhood days spent at Saddle Lake in Michigan.
Dayle shared 27 years of marriage with her late husband Don, with whom she found joy in life’s simple pleasure; especially playing games and working on puzzles together.
A devoted grandmother, Dayle treasured every moment with her grandchildren, Rylee, Tim, and Lily; who were the light of her life. She also held deep love and pride for her many other grandchildren from the Stirn side, each of whom brought her endless joy.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenna (William), her grandchildren, Rylee, Tim, and Lily; her brother, Randy (Lauren), and many beloved extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Don, her mother Doree Olsberg, and her grandparents Victor and Pauline Panfil.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Dayle’s love of eagles, the family kindly requests donations to the Raptor Resource Project, a cause dear to her heart.
