De An M. McKee, 83 of Watertown, went home to be with her Savior on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Watertown Hospital.
De An was born on July 5, 1942, in Jackson, MI, the daughter of Robert and Rosena (Misner) Polhemus. On August 17, 1968, she was united in marriage with Gerald McKee and the couple was blessed with 2 sons. Faith was an important part of De An’s life, and she was member of Calvary Baptist Church of Watertown where she served as a volunteer with New Focus Ministry and assisted with individual Bible studies. De An also worked as a receptionist at Maranatha Baptist University where she enjoyed helping others. She was a loving wife and an excellent mother and will be deeply missed by all those who were touched by her life.
De An is survived by: her loving husband Gerald; children Pete (Robin) McKee and Mark (Lisa) McKee; grandchildren Daniel (Amber), Julie (Andrew), Melissa (Connor), Kaelyn (Tommy), Jenelle (Brett), and Isaac; and great-grandchildren Kadyn, Kyleigh, Aaliya, Rylee, Rylan, Callen, Charlotte, Beckham, Emmett, Carter, and Delany. De An is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
De An is preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations in De An’s name to Calvary Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church of Watertown with Rev. Dr. Robert Loggans presiding. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the church. De An will be laid to rest at Ebenezer Moravian Cemetery of Watertown following the service.
