"Who Can Find a Virtuous Woman? For Her Price is Far Above Rubies." -Proverbs 31:10

Deaconess Gloria Lee Jackson Monts, the beloved daughter of Ronnie Lewis Jackson and Rosa Mae Givens, was born on June 19, 1954, in Madison, Florida. She was nurtured by them and inspired by other family and community supporters who always encouraged her to do something positive to make them all proud. She graduated from Madison High School and continued her education at North Florida Junior College (currently North Florida College). She was a lifelong resident of Madison, Florida.

Affectionately regarded as Gloria, Deaconess Monts was unique, loving, selfless, full of life and full of joy. She was dependent on God, devoted to family, and responsible in her work. By far, she was the essence of the Proverbs 31 woman.

The joy of the Lord was her strength. Deaconess Monts knew that she could do nothing without Him and that nothing is impossible for Him. She relied on Him to guide her through her daily routine, and it was because of Him that she had reason to feel blessed. "This joy that I have, the world didn't give it to me and the world can't take it away."

Gloria was a good mother and an excellent provider for her family. She was thankful to see her children become independent adults, but she still cherished the times they spent together. She spoke with wisdom and was faithful with her advice. Because she knew the Lord, she knew that He always made a way out of (seemingly) no way for them. It was because of her steadfast faith that their household needs and some wants were always met.

Gloria began a rewarding occupation as a creative hair stylist. However, when she chose to try something different, Gloria realized that her passion was home health care. For the past ten years, she loved working with her patients and looked forward to making house calls as much as her patients eagerly awaited her visits. The joy she had overflowed to her patients. She was determined to make a difference in their health recovery.

The Lord equipped Deaconess Monts to do what He purposed her to do. She was diligent in using her gifted hands and gave her service to the Lord in a more excellent way. During the worship experience, she expertly played the full set of drums with precision beats as she sang of the goodness of God. Her hands were also beneficial for her patients' care and improvement. Likewise, her hands were open to be used to help the less fortunate or anyone else in need.

Because Deaconess Gloria Lee Jackson Monts knew that her Redeemer lives, she was courageously prepared to face the future regarding her own health situation. "Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say, it is well; it is well with my soul."

Therefore, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, she peacefully closed her eyes, transitioned to the other side, and came boldly to the throne of grace to receive a crown of righteousness from the Righteous Judge. It was well with her soul.

"When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be!" Cherishing the life, love, and legacy of Deaconess Gloria Lee Jackson Monts are her sons: Alonza Dwayne Smith and Jacob Marcel Monts of Madison; daughters: Crystal Monts and Brittany Monts of Madison, FL; brothers: Maurice (Cynthia) James of Greenville, FL and Michael James of Tallahassee, FL; sisters: Rosa B. Richardson of Madison, FL, Vivian (William) Wright of Orlando, and Juakita Marbel of Philadelphia, PA; 43 nieces and nephews; together with many other sorrowing relatives, comforting friends; concerned home health patients, and uplifting church family.

Preceded in death were Deaconess Mont's parents: Ronnie Lewis Jackson and Rosa Mae Givens James; and brothers: Jerome Jackson, Ronnie Jackson, and Samuel James.
