Dean Ellison Carter, 12, of Woodlawn, Illinois, passed away at 9:25 pm February 7, 2024 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He was born March 18, 2011 in Centralia, Illinois to Mark Carter and Jaclyn Kahrhoff.
In addition to his parents, Dean is survived by his brother, Sam Carter of Woodlawn; his Papa, Thomas Kahrhoff Woodlawn; grandfather, Louis Carter of Hillsboro, Missouri; aunts, Nicole "Aunt 'Cole" Kahrhoff and special friend, Louie Smith of Woodlawn, Pam Gilomen of Fredericktown, Missouri, Christina Luthy and husband, Joe of Hillsboro, Missouri, and April Rose of Woodlawn; uncle, Chad Eversgerd of O'Fallon, Illinois; cousins, Joshua Meredith and special friend Rebecca "Becca" Copple, Hunter Meredith, and Brittany Stanton and husband, Jacob of Eureka, Missouri; and second cousin, Emery Stanton of Eureka.
Dean was preceded in death by his MawMaw, Barbara Kahrhoff and Marsha Carter.
Dean loved spending time with his puppies and playing computer games. He also enjoyed bowling and was on the bowling team at Woodlawn Grade School. Dean was a loving son and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A Private Visitation will be held. Memorials may be made in Dean's honor to the family, in care of Jaclyn Kahrhoff.
