Obituary
Dean Allen Cline, 65, passed away into the arms of the Lord on May 22, 2023.
Born May 3, 1958 in Bremen, IN, he was the son of Donald and Dorothy (Haas) Cline. His father preceded him in death.
After high school, Dean attended trade school to become a mold maker. On September 6, 1980, Dean married the love of his life, Ruth Kline. She survives him. Also left to cherish his memory are: his mother, Dorothy Cline of Mishawaka; his two sisters, Diana (Jeff) Dome of Mishawaka and Dawn (Roger) Scott of Mishawaka; five children, Danielle (JD) Mackiewicz of Xenia, OH, Marisa (Jim) Mackiewicz of Osceola, Bryan Cline of Rome City, Alicia (Kirk) Chapman of Granger and Evan (Brianne) Cline of Holland, MI. He is also cherished by 9 grandchildren, who he absolutely adored: Lily, Ezra, Tate, Claire, Lincoln, Reece, Zeke, Bodhi and Leo.
Dean was a loving husband, dad and grandpa. He loved to travel and meticulously planned family trips to many national parks. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's events, riding his bike, and playing card games. He was thrifty, always looking for a good deal. He could learn how to fix anything himself. He had an incredible ear for music and would whistle or sing a catchy tune at any given moment. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at Community Church in Edwardsburg, MI on Saturday, May 27 at 11a.m., with visitation one hour prior. He was laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Church, or to Elkhart Christian Academy, for student scholarships.
