Dean William Gintert, Jr., age 83, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, in Leland, North Carolina. Born on December 14, 1941, in Warren, Ohio, Dean was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dean spent his formative years in Cortland, Ohio, where he graduated from Cortland High School with the Class of 1959. Pursuing his passion for engineering, he attended Youngstown University and graduated from the William Rayen School of Engineering in 1964. A man of diverse interests, Dean found great joy in hunting and motorcycling, hobbies that brought him countless memorable experiences throughout his life.

Preceded in death by his parents, Dean W. Gintert, Sr. and Marie Kmetz Gintert, Dean leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 62 years, Marilyn Gintert. He is also survived by his two sons, Dean William Gintert and his wife, Leigh, of Gastonia, NC, and Andrew Brady Gintert and his wife, Ellen of Woodstock, GA; his cherished sister, Patricia Carpenter of Florida; and two beloved grandchildren, Drew and Will Gintert.
